When I invited my mother to come live with me after she was diagnosed to have cancer, I was thinking that there is only me who can do this. I cannot imagine her living by herself in her condition although she had been very independent and strong to raise me up by herself after my father bailed out when he found out my mother was pregnant. Her parents disowned her and threw her out from their home to face the consequences of her actions. And to think that mother was then a teenager yet she was able to survive and succeed. She raised me up and she even made a good life for herself by becoming a lawyer. She chose not to get married so that she can focus on me. And now that she is ill, I cannot leave her alone although I found my own place when I was working already but that was a different story. Mother was healthy then and she wants me to have a life of my own and be a strong person. At first I was thinking of returning back home where work is very far or inviting her to live with me even only for the duration of her treatment. And when she said yes, I started planning how to make my extra room more comfortable for her. It surely needs to have new curtains or maybe some blinds will be a lot nicer. So I bought my blinds from them and they made a lot of difference to the room she will be using. I bought some nice things for the room too and it made the room looks warm and welcoming and when my mother arrived, she was happy with my efforts. But it is me who is happier because I am given the chance to serve a good person who has my respect and love. And I am happy with the help I found from this website where I got my curtains and blinds.
